Meet the Author

Master Herbalist, Midwife, Mother, and Author

Rachel Weaver’s passion for natural health grew out of a simple desire to help others. As a mother of nine, midwife, and Master Herbalist, she spent decades studying traditional remedies and discovering practical ways to care for everyday health concerns.

What began with helping family and neighbors soon grew into something much larger. As word spread, Rachel found herself answering an increasing number of phone calls and letters from people across the United States and Canada seeking her advice.

After more than 30 years of study and hands-on experience, Rachel decided to put her knowledge into writing. Her first book, Be Your Own “Doctor,” was published in 2010, sharing 101 real-life stories and practical remedies in her warm, down-to-earth style. Her books are published under the name Rachel Weaver, M.H.; library catalogues also list her as Rachel Herr Weaver.

She went on to write Be Your Own “Doctor” II, Back Yard Pharmacy, and Be Your Child’s Pediatrician, making traditional herbal knowledge accessible to families everywhere.

Rachel’s Christian faith shaped her belief that God has provided resources in nature to help care for our health. Through her books, she continues to share what she has learned in the hope that others can benefit from her years of experience.

In memory. Rachel has passed away. Her books remain in print, and Share A Care Publications carries on the work she and Myron Weaver began.
